Adventure Overview

Xunantunich is an Ancient Maya archaeological site in western Belize in the Cayo District. It served as a Maya civic ceremonial centre to the Belize Valley region in the Terminal Classic periods. At that time, when the region was at its peak, approximately 200,000 people lived in the Belize Valley. The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center, founded in 1983, is set on 29 acres. It is home to more than 150 animals of about 43 species, all native to Belize. It's a beautiful show of what our natural vegetation has to offer.
